Battle Brothers is a turn-based strategy RPG in which the player controls a detachment of mercenaries wandering around the small magic medieval world. You yourself decide where to go, whom to hire, or who to fight with, what contracts to take and how to arm, and train your people in a procedurally generated world. The game consists of a strategic world map and a tactical combat map. On the world map you can travel freely, conclude contracts that fill your wallet with coins, find places worth robbing, enemies and cities where you can replenish supplies and hire new people. It also raises the level and equipment of the Brothers of the squad. After you meet a hostile detachment, the game will switch to a tactical map where direct combat operations will take place, in a step-by-step mode.
